For me, style is personality. A confidence. It’s way you put together pieces that you love again and again.
People automatically assume that if your career is in clothing, you have unlimited resources for it. This couldn’t be farther from the truth for me. With trends coming and going, I find strength and uniqueness in the simple pieces, the timeless staples that are perfected and tweaked each season – from the leathers, cashmere, little black dresses and more. Having the fundamental classic pieces in your wardrobe, can easily help you get dressed in no time and you know you can always count on them 😉
That being said… A leather skirt/ pencil skirt belongs in every women’s closet. The leather skirt is a year-round classic, so you can’t go wrong, especially with this faux leather one I found at Zara for under $40.00! I love how you can throw on a basic t-shirt for a more casual look, a button down for a more work attire ensemble or spice it up, like how I did with a dramatic sequin top. I usually love an all-black look for during fall, but I try to keep it interesting with details, and this sequin top, from H&M will just do. Note: this top is more like a crop top, however I purchased a size 14, for more oversized look 😉
Below I’ve added a few other key pieces, that I personally believe belong in every girls wardrobe. They’re classics and (if you take care of them) can even last for decades. They’ll carry you through work weeks at a big girl job, dinners, networking events, and so much more.
